About Me

Hi, I'm April!

A mom navigating motherhood, homeschooling, and work—often all at the same time.

This space started as a simple way for me to write and reflect, especially on days that felt overwhelming or uncertain. Over time, it became a place where I could share not just what I do, but how it actually feels to live this kind of life.

I homeschool my children while working a night shift, which means our days don’t always follow a perfect routine. Some days are productive, some are slow, and some don’t go as planned at all.

But in between those imperfect days, there are small moments of learning, connection, and growth—and those are the ones I hold on to.

Here, I write about:
- homeschooling in real life
- motherhood in its honest form
- books that shape the way I think and parent
- simple, practical ways to make things work

This is not a space for perfection.

Just real life, written one day at a time.

For a long time, I believed I needed a consistent, structured schedule to make homeschooling work. But over time, I realized something important: We didn’t need a perfect routine. We needed a rhythm that fits our real life. 🌿 Why We Chose the Charlotte Mason Approach I was drawn to the Charlotte Mason homeschooling method because it felt gentle, flexible, and realistic for our situation. Instead of overwhelming schedules and long lessons, it focuses on: Short, meaningful lessons Living book...
